How Riot Vanguard Detects Valorant Cheats
Vanguard is not a normal anti-cheat. Most anti-cheats start with the game and stop when you close it, but Vanguard's kernel driver loads when Windows boots, before Valorant is even launched. That gives Vanguard visibility over the whole system from startup, including the drivers that load and the hardware connected to your PC.
For Valorant DMA cheats, two things matter. First, Vanguard inspects the devices connected to your PC, including your DMA card. A card that presents a generic or known signature is an easy target. Second, Vanguard pays attention to memory protection settings such as IOMMU and VT-d. These virtualization features make direct memory access harder, and disabling them in the BIOS to make a Valorant DMA setup work is a classic red flag.
Why Most DMA Firmware Fails on Valorant
DMA firmware is the code running on the card that makes it look like a legitimate device. Public firmware is shared by thousands of users, so it has a known signature: once one cheater is caught, every card running that build is exposed. Cheaper firmware tiers are also built for anti-cheats that inspect hardware less closely than Vanguard.

Valorant DMA Setup: What You Need
A complete Valorant DMA setup has five parts, and each one has a separate job.
Valorant DMA Card

Second PC
The cheat runs on a second computer, not on your gaming PC. Any PC works, and our DMA starter kits are available with a mini PC.
Fuser for Valorant ESP

Input Box for Valorant Aimbot
Aimbot through DMA needs an input box that moves your mouse without software on the gaming PC. The Makcu does this and appears to your PC as a regular mouse.
How a Valorant DMA Cheat Works Together
- Vanguard runs on your gaming PC and inspects the system.
- The DMA card sits in a PCIe slot and, thanks to Hook, presents itself as a legitimate device.
- The card reads Valorant's memory and sends it to your second PC over USB.
